What is a Mountain Dulcimer?

If you are not well versed in the different types of instruments that are available in the world, then you may or may not be familiar with the mountain dulcimer. This type of instrument is classified as a plucked instrument and normally contains three or four strings. The instrument can be played in different ways. The traditional method of playing the instrument is to lay it on one’s lap in order to pluck the strings.
