So make sure that the organization you are going to make the donation to is authorized to accept such a donation so that you can avail of the said tax deduction.
When you do car donation to a duly authorized institution or organization, you will usually get a tax deductible receipt for your donation. They can even provide you with other pertinent documents that you will need when you process your tax deduction.
