Safety in the Cold

I have often wondered if a normal stun gun would have enough power to get through thick clothing like those worn during winter. I do not think a normal stun gun would be enough. I think a high voltage stun gun would be needed in order to penetrate a big, puffy snow coat. I wonder if people in cold regions of the world carry this more powerful gun as opposed to a regular stun gun. I would think they would have to in order to stay safe from predators. People need protection no matter where they live. I am glad they make such a variety of self defense weapons.
