Using Bleach To Get Rid Of Mold

When getting rid of mold after a flood in your home, use bleach. The bleach will clean mold off hard items like sinks, floors, counters and tools. Please remember, never mix bleach with ammonia or other cleaning supplies! For protection against the harsh chemicals, wear rubber gloves, goggles and even rubber boots. Your bleach solution should be 1 cup of bleach to every 1 gallon of water. Make sure you open up all your windows and doors to circulate the air when you’re working with bleach. Wash your item with the solution and use a stiff brush to scrub hard surfaces.
