Emma Hale married Joseph Smith and she stayed true to the mormon doctrine he taught and revealed, even after Joseph was martyred. Emma suffered through many tribulations because of her testimony. She and Joseph lost several children due to constant persecution, being exposed to the elements in the winter, and the hardness of life when they lived. Despite Emma’s hardships, however, she remained a stalwart liver of the gospel, and a constant companion and support to Joseph, who continued to receive mormon doctrine and to preach it to the members of the Church. She will certainly be blessed for her faithfulness.
