Turning other against the Mormon church

Non-mormons who refer to our church as a “mormon cult” probably don’t know any better, but ex-mormons who call it that certainly know better and lose all credibility with me as they distort facts and try to turn others against it. It reminds me of drug addicts who want to drag others into their horrible world because misery loves company. A former mormon describing us as a mormon cult could never be viewed as anything but bitter by me. On the other hand, I don’t really mind because I think the more subtle anti-Mormons are actually a greater problem.
