At the start of our last holiday we left hopelessly late for our drive through to the East Cape, it’s never easy to get a family of five organized. In Rotorua we decided we really needed to break up the trip as both of us started to fade noticeably. By the time we got into town it was well after 10pm and we were quite nervous about getting into any rotorua accommodation. But we couldn’t have possibly driven any further, so we were more than grateful by how welcome we were made to feel at the first place we drove in to, what a lifesaver. Next time we will schedule in a stay anyway, it was so much nicer to get on the road the next morning after a great night sleep & a delicious breakfast.
